The collaboration between the Ministry of Public Finance and Allevo has reached more than 8 years, a period of developing together challenging and innovative projects.
All began in 2003 when Allevo won a World Bank financed
bid for a turn-key solution to connect the State Treasury (within
the Ministry of Finance - MoF) to the Romanian electronic payment
system.
The Romanian State Treasury Electronic Payment System
(RoSTEPS), architected around qPayIntegrator, was deployed in 2004
and became fully operational in 2005 to process the daily payments
and collections of MoF. The system was enhanced in
2008, among others, to provide SEPA (Single Euro Payment Area)
compliance.
Many of the joint projects received awards and recognition both
on the local and international financial industry market.
